Meet the Team

sarah-trueloveSarah Truelove – Founder of Stage Door Drama

Sarah trained at the Arts Educational School, London at both the stage school and the Adult Drama / Acting course (Dip. Acting, Arts Ed).
She has worked with the RSC, Kent Opera, Kentish Opera, regional theatres, cabaret circuits and the BBC.

In more recent years Sarah has directed numerous plays, pantomimes and musical theatre for local amateur dramatic societies including the Rotherfield Players, Pantiles Players and many more.

Sarah is also teaching Drama and LAMDA at a local independent prep school.

Sarah believes that drama classes offer children a chance to be creative and expressive whilst interacting with other children and encouraging team building. Better diction, posture, coordination and memorization are some of the skills they will learn.

Sarah strongly believes it is worth considering the enriching prospects that await your child at drama classes.

                               Mel Dolding – Admin Assistant/Chaperone

MelBoth my daughters are part of Stage Door Drama and I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it too.  I love my Saturday mornings at Stage Door.  It is a privilege watching the talented young people every week.  I work as a Teaching Assistant at the local primary school during the week and love working with children.  I believe that Drama plays a really important role in children’s lives – encouraging confidence, independence and self esteem.  Stage Door provides this as well as the acting skills they might need for future roles in life.
